FAQ'S

What is counselling? Counselling is a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore anything you’re struggling with. This can include mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and stress, as well as grief, relationships, self-worth, self-esteem, feeling “stuck,” or personal development. Counselling helps you understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes in your life. The relationship with your counsellor is key—you should feel safe, comfortable, and able to trust them.
What isn’t counselling? * Giving advice or instructions – You explore options; you make decisions. * Just talking to a friend – Counselling is professional, structured, and confidential. * A cure-all – Focus is on support and personal growth, not fixing everything. * Judgment or criticism – Counselling is a safe, non-judgmental space. * Manipulation or changing you – It empowers self-awareness, not imposing beliefs.
